A presentation and discussion of the Cape Ann regional needs assessment conducted by the Gerontology Institute, Center for Social & Demographic Research on Aging at University of Massachusetts Boston was held on September 21, 2018, at the SeniorCare offices in Gloucester, MA. Dr. Caitlin Coyle, Research Fellow at the Gerontology Institute, presented the findings on aging in the Cape Ann communities of Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Based on the findings of the assessment, an Age & Dementia Friendly Cape Ann Steering Committee will begin work on the development of an action plan to address areas of concern identified in the assessment.
